The Original Gold Miniature Nantucket Lightship Baskets

Imitated and copied throughout New England and the world, this is the original gold miniature Nantucket Lightship Basket. A small gold oval, with hinged lid.  The lid opens to reveal a tiny penny which is dated 1977, the "birthdate" of the gold basket. The handle swings and the bottom is signed and dated.
